The Talmudical Academy (TA) of Baltimore is a 94-year-old accredited institution serving the needs of almost 900 children in the greater Baltimore community from preschool through High School. Its goal is to provide these boys with an educational experience that enriches their heritage while at the same time offering a stimulating and comprehensive secular studies program.
In addition to its normal dual curriculum education, TA pays close attention to the needs of its students with learning differences. The school provides the educational support necessary for children with special needs to reach their full potential. A team of professional educators offers many services including early intervention, reading assessment and training, and social skills education. The program enables students with special needs to remain in the mainstream school setting, avoiding the need to be segregated due to learning differences.
As you know, economic conditions over the past few years has severely impaired the ability of many households to make ends meet. Those with loved ones that require special educational resources are under the additional strain to provide the funding for these needs, and as a result the programming at our school has come under financial pressures of its own.
Sadly, my Father, Of-Blessed-Memory, passed away a few weeks ago, and in his memory I established a scholarship fund to assist children stemming from less fortunate homes, afford and receive the education they deserve. My father, was an educator himself and taught children and adolescents for decades of his life. He was dedicated to his work and committed to reaching the various educational needs of all children and furthered his own education by
pursuing an MA in Special Ed later in his life. I ask that you join me in this charitable endeavor and thank you in advance for participation. May your support of this cause promote the legacy of one who devoted so much of his own life for the cause of educating our children to the fullest extent.
